might have one or more personalities who are very intelligent and intellectual.
It may be a way to keep emotions at bay.
These
[personalities] find words to stop
the pain. They find labels and sort things into meaningful categories. [They] are very intelligent. They figure
out for the rest of the system the best action to take. They are the
cool-headed personalities in the traumatic situation who can decide what to do

It
has no contact with the pain and rage of internalized perpetrators or
protectors. Although it may be intellectually aware of what the abuse felt
like, it feels no emotional connection to the original trauma. (Under 16)
I have a group
of personalities called the IQs who are quite intellectual. They love to study
new subjects, analyze things especially life, and do mathematical and/or
accounting types of projects.
