a. EXECUTIVE CONTROL

There are three things a personality can do:

a  The personality can come out and take executive control of the person’s behaviour so another person would notice it.

b  The personality doesn’t come out and take control but influences the behaviour through emotions, and thoughts that the one in control feels (See Co-presence).

c  The personality doesn’t come out and doesn’t influence the behaviour. This personality merely exists and has little or no impact on the one who is in control..

Much of the literature says that one personality called the “host” has control most of the time. However, there are multiples, like myself, Truddi Chase and other multiples I have known, where that is not the case. Instead, various other personalities have most of the control and the host is more like the passenger in a car.
